*A little more about my art & design education and background below:
I completed a three year course and received my diploma in textile design at the (then) Cape Technikon in 1992.
I had been in the textile design and printing industry for about a decade and had my own small printing factory for 3 years until 2005.
My hubby and I decided to start our family and I sold my business assets and closed the factory.
In 2010 I started WHISP from home and joined Etsy in 2012.
Favorite media is acrylic paint, gouache, pen, ink and textile paint.
My passion (besides my family) is to create functional beauty and creativity on paper, canvas and textiles from my home studio in Cape Town.
*I believe art in various form can connect people in a special way.
*A lovely Bible verse from the Old Testament: Exodus 35:35
'He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers - all of them master craftsmen and designers.'
